About SpectraHD Photography and Michael Lombardi

SpectraHD Photography's mission is to empower women through increased confidence and improved self-image.

With invaluable help from a highly-skilled makeup artist and years behind the camera, you'll look and feel your best with SpectraHD Photography. Then while you ride that high of beauty and confidence, I create amazing art for you to look back on for years to come. And if your portraits are a special gift for a man or woman who is crazy about you, they'll be able to see you in photos the way they already do in their mind.

I started my photography journey in college. For years, I worked on things like composition and lighting. I took things fairly slow and only took photos when I was inspired to do so.

After about 10 years, I started focusing on the exposure triangle, shooting in full manual mode, and working with RAW files. I still only shot when I was inspired.

Another 4 or so years passed and in 2016 I decided I wanted to pursue shooting more regularly. After years of my wife telling me I should take pictures of people when I have my camera out, I started working with live subjects and left the still life subjects behind. I also began working with artificial lighting, to create photos in new and exciting ways.

I found, and fell in love with, this genre pretty quickly. Boudoir allows me to work one-on-one and be creative while making memories for people to enjoy for the rest of their life.

Now that you've read about what I do and my photography journey, here's a little about me the person.

  • I've been married to a kickass biochemist since 2005. (She literally kicks ass--in kickboxing & taekwondo.)

  • I'm a stay-at-home/work-from-home father to a kindergartener who is smart, confident, and awesome.

  • Indianapolis has been our home for more than a decade and it fits us perfectly.

  • When not working in boudoir, cosplay photography is one of my creative outlets.

  • If I'm not creating art, I love going to concerts, watching movies, eating out, and sleeping in.
